Haddonfield, NJ - August 19, 2009 - Bancroft, a human service provider of education, residential, vocational and rehabilitation services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries and other neurological challenges, is pleased to promote Joan Galon King and welcome Jeff Reuter to the team.
Bancroft appoints Joan Galon King as Chief Advancement Officer. King joined Bancroft in 2008, with 18 years of fundraising experience in multiple campaign areas, including major gifts, planned giving, corporate giving and special events. Previously, she served at Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, N.J., as Director of Major Gifts and Volunteers Development. King also has experience in development positions with organizations such as the The Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Foundation for New Jersey Public Broadcasting and the American Heart Association.
"As Bancroft continues to focus more on fundraising and advancing relationships organization-wide, Joan's expertise serves the organization in countless ways," said Toni Pergolin, president, Bancroft. "As Chief Advancement Officer, Joan will provide strategic vision and leadership in designing, articulating and implementing a comprehensive advancement program for the organization, which includes fundraising, communications, integrated marketing, and family, donor and government relations."
Jeff Reuter joins Bancroft as Executive Director of Educational Programs. This new position is similar to a superintendent of schools, with oversight responsibilities for each of Bancroft's educational programs. Reuter comes to Bancroft with a wealth of experience in special education, including working directly with students and in administrative positions. Previously, he served as Director of Educational Services at Burlington County Special Services School District.
"Jeff enhances our clinical expertise, and we expect our students to benefit significantly from the new resources gained by his addition," said Pergolin.
Founded in 1883, Bancroft annually serves more than 1,300 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries. Based in Haddonfield, N.J., Bancroft has sites in Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Ocean, Salem and Middlesex counties in New Jersey, and in Delaware. Programs include education, rehabilitation, vocational, residential, evaluation and treatment services.
