3.22.10 | Bancroft Holds Eighth Annual Interdenominational Inclusive Ministry Workshop on April 18th

Haddonfield, NJ—April 18, 2010— Bancroft will hold its Eighth Annual Interdenominational Inclusive Ministry Workshop on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at The Bancroft School- 425 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, NJ.

The event is a way to meet new friends and share ideas about what congregations are doing or could do to welcome people with disabilities. The workshop is geared toward the general public, families, parish and congregation leaders, priests, rabbis, ministers, religious instructors, youth group leaders, recreation and activity coordinators.

The workshop will provide an overview of how to develop supports for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities in religious education within your faith community. It will use current best practices for maximizing learning and community inclusion for people with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities, which will be applied to participation in religious education and congregational life.

Registration is from 1:30-2:00PM and from 2:15-5:00PM there will Workshops presented by Linda Meyer, Ed.D., MPA, BCBA-D, CPT, Executive Director of AutismNJ and Anne Masters, M.A., Director of the Department for Pastoral Ministry with Persons with Disabilities for the Newark Archdiocese. Refreshments will be offered during the event.
