Bancroft University is responsible for the initial training and continuing development of all staff. The Organizational Learning and Development Department oversees BU and is dedicated to creating and providing quality training and education programs that reflect the needs and changing responsibilities of our staff. All training and education is focused on the following areas of development:

This Certificate in Developmental Disabilities is designed to provide employees with the latest information, skill development and preparation for a career in the Developmental Disabilities field.
Brain Injury Specialist Certification from AACBIS
American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialists (AACBIS) is administered by the Brain Injury Association of America in Vienna, Virginia. The training and certification exam are based on the The Essential Brain Injury Guide and are intended for paraprofessionals and professionals at all levels who want a strong foundation in the best practices in brain injury rehabilitation. At this level, applicants attend a training to prepare them to take the certification examination.
The Job Skill/Professional Development arm of BU focuses on educating our staff and managers in areas that are beneficial to their current and future jobs at Bancroft. Job skills development classes and trainings are intended to develop and/or enhance the basic skills necessary to deliver high quality services and enhance your performance in your current position. The Professional Development classes and trainings are intended to provide our staff with the skills necessary to prepare them for other job opportunities in the future. Our goal is to help our staff develop their skills to be prepared to take on new challenges within the organization.
