Bancroft's Day Treatment Services offers a range of options for outpatients and persons served in Bancroft community living programs. These options range from full day programs to individual rehabilitation therapies. Programs are individualized, combining rehabilitation therapies, structured group activities, and opportunities for community re-integration. Evaluations and rehabilitation therapies are also offered for individuals who do not require a full day program. In addition, a structured activity program is also available.
Impairments in cognitive functioning are among the most common and significant problems that lead to disability following acquired brain injury. Treatment of cognitive dysfunction is central to the treatment and recovery of individuals with acquired brain injury due to the widespread impact of cognitive impairments on safety, functional independence, productive living and social interaction. Throughout treatment, cognitive strengths and weaknesses are considered in the development of goals. Specific strategies are developed to minimize their impact.

Bancroft Brain Injury Services also provides functionally based assessments completed by members of an interdisciplinary team who have the requisite education and professional credentials. The assessment process includes observation, administration of standardized instruments and input from various stakeholders.
