Day Support Services

Everyone should have the opportunity to live the most fulfilling, social and active life possible. To accomplish this, individuals must be able to interact with others and perform meaningful activities. Bancroft's Day Supports are designed to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities participate in valued activities that will lead to more active, engaged lives.

At Bancroft, a wide range of day supports are available to those served, based on each person's interest, capabilities and goals. Supports are designed to facilitate inclusion in the community through functional, meaningful and therapeutic learning experiences and activities, with a focus on community involvement. Supports include:

  1. Preparing for work and job sampling
  2. Volunteering in the community
  3. Enhancing communication in social situations
  4. Working with others
  5. Using a computer
  6. Creating goods and services and marketing and selling products and services
  7. Purchasing materials and supplies

Bancroft's Day Supports are a part of our day continuum that also includes vocational training, and transitional and supported employment, which are available based on each person's interests and capabilities.
