Kathy M. Ross
Vice President, Communications and Community Relations
Kathy Ross first came to Bancroft in 1983, when she was Assistant to the President, working with Dr. Clarence York at first, and then Dr. George Niemann, who was appointed President shortly thereafter. Over the years, Ms. Ross was assigned increasingly more and more responsibilities at Bancroft, from coordinator of corporate affairs, to director, to senior director, and in 1998 was promoted to vice president.
Ms. Ross has been responsible for a wide range of functions at Bancroft, including serving as Board Secretary for Bancroft NeuroHealth and its subsidiary corporations; corporate administration; licensing and accreditation; quality management; public relations, and marketing; among others. Today, her focus is on corporate communications, public relations, board operations and other corporate matters, family advocacy and support, and community relations.
As it turns out, shortly after Ms. Ross joined Bancroft in 1983, it was learned that her young son had a developmental disability, and so she feels that her arrival at Bancroft was meant to be. Since then, she has become an ardent advocate for children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families.
